Things were a lot different in Tokyo these days. Or at least, that's what everyone was thinking, with the rising levels in Demon activity in the last few months. The Yo-Kai Control Crew had spent countless nights pursuing and killing the malevolent spirits, and their Danger Level had only been escalating exponentially, from a Level 2 in January to a Level 4 in late March. Things were not going well, and thus they started a program that hadn't been seen in action since the Great Invasion almost twelve years prior. The Yo-Kai Control Officer Trials were once again in motion, and every single school in Tokyo was preparing their students to have a chance, as slim as it was, to have the honor of training the next generation of heroes. Every kid trained their Gift, their special ability every human obtains at birth from the Sun Goddess Amaterasu. Everyone wanted to be THE next great hero that others could look up to.
