The Weight of the Clouds | Episode 5 - A Stranger

The vehicle that had parked at the far end of the lot was an old, run down Basalt sedan, and judging by the lack of a license plate, the theory of it being owned by a gangster was terrifyingly plausible. Ashley quietly shook Damian awake, whispering, "Dude. Look, it's some... gang car! I'm sure of it!", Damian said nothing, instead straightening up in his seat trying to make out more details of the vehicle in the dark. They observed the vehicle for a short while, the tension slowly rising as no one seemed to step off from the vehicle. "That's not good. Are they hacking into the grid or something? Can't be. A Dataport needs to be plugged into a terminal to do anything."  he thought. Ashley observed the vehicle even more closely, she reached for the gun inside the glovebox and turned the safety off, Damian stared at her in bewilderment, but neither of them had time to say anything in regards to this reckless decision, as someone stepped off the drive...

The Weight of the Clouds | Episode 4 - Strange things

The morning after coming home felt all too familiar to Ashley and Damian, almost like nothing had changed at all for the past three years. Damian woke up first and headed towards the bathroom to take a shower, while Ashley tumbled sleepily over to the kitchen to begin to prepare breakfast. It's all we can afford before our first paycheck..." she replied.   A bit later, Damian sat at the table, turning the TV on, the news anchor smiled radiantly as always, though the news were the same as they had always been: traffic accidents, gang fights, people dying from infections from not caring after their Mecha Enhancem...

The Painter | Story Time with Regigigas_YT

Orochi Tanaka was, by the metrics most young men were measured in, normal. He was 34 years old, worked for the Kame-Yu Department store a few blocks down from where his apartment was located, had a hobby for creating oil paintings once in a while, and he owned a cat. The part about him that was, by all measures, not normal, was that he could store items within paintings. This ability had one day come naturally to him at age five-and-a-half, when he felt an impulse to reach for an apple within a painting and the item simply blinked out from the canvas and into his hand. Since then, he had used this ability on and off throught the years, never really questioning why or how he had acquired such a bizarre capability. He had used it for plenty things, such as painting a fridge full of delicious food to take supplies from whenever he needed to, finding out that items within paintings regenerated after a few hours.  One time, when he felt lonely, he tried to paint himself a friend,...
